Itinerary description
A fabulous route with varied terrain and decent ascents & descents.
The ascent & decent to the Peñon de los Castillos involves some scrambling.
Not advisable for anyone with vertigo.
The path, at one point, is tricky to locate but we have placed a cairn there.
Lovely views over El Rescate & towards La Herradura.
This route can be done clockwise or anti-clockwise
There is a 2km stretch on asphalt followed by a sharp incline

A great route thanks Lee. The down hill part was a bit tricky to find but it is perfectly positioned if you are following Lees route on wikiloc. There is the remains of an old cairn at the start of this descent.
Lovely views from the top of the route and that's the best lunch spot. You need to climb and scramble a bit but easily doable.
