Itinerary description
Hike from the book Randos Bière en Belgique.
This route is not easily reachable by public transport.
Starting from the village of Falmignoul, the path goes through some fields towards the river Meuse. There are a couple of great views overlooking the river and the valley. After descending through the forest, the trail follows the river for several kilometers. The climb back up from the river passes by a few small waterfalls. It's short, but pretty steep. You join the same path back into the village.
The surface is mostly a narrow trail that has roots and rocks in places, so it could get slippery.
The Brasserie Caracole is well worth a visit. The ambiance is great, there are several tasty beers to try and you might be able to join a tour of the brewery.
