Itinerary description
Start from school / Hotel area and follow path up river and around reservoir then continue up on walk alongside the river on the western side. After 3k approx turn left and climb, 150m over 1k, on a rocky but wide path. This is the most difficult section as track has been bulldozed as a firebreak leaving loose stones, all on a steep hill. Once at the crossroads proceed straight across and up a narrow path, well used by cyclists coming down. Beware! On reaching ridge keep left and start a long, rough, downward track which in turn will eventually arrive back in Benehavis. Distance is actually just under 10 kms from start. Enjoy!
