Itinerary description
This is not a technically demanding route, but it does take a good level of fitness in places. The frist Part on Moro de Ojo is simple and a gentle climb, but it does have a few areas were it is over grown and lots of low branches, so make your own way. heading up the base of Salto de Cabrero is straight forward, but if like me, you get cut of by an amorous BULL that did not want tog et out the way, then a detour is called for. Also some of the tracks are very over grown, so choose your way carefully. I opted to go Bouldering for some of the route and stay on Higher ground. Most of the first 5km of this route is in the shade of the mountains and cliffs. Once at the top, you join the main Salto de Cabrero route and head back towards Benaocaz. I took a route that takes you through a little holiday village with little round thatched cottages... really quaint.

Vaya ruta! Una perspectiva increíble de salto del cabrero, pasando por el canyon/tajo fue maravilloso. Es una ruta para gente fuerte, pero con mucha agua y ganas de hace.

We turned back after 3.5km as the trail became impossible to follow. I am experienced at hiking in the Sierra de Guadarrama so thought this trail wouldn’t be too challenging. Unfortunately we didn’t make it to the top although the views we had along the way were beautiful.
