Itinerary description
For me it is one of the most wonderful and hallucinating excursions in Menorca, the Binimel-là cala is located in the north zone, in the marine reserve of the North of Menorca and in the village of Es Mercadal. Binimel-lá has coarse red sand!!!! and a small lake right before arriving to the shore of the beach.
The beach is rarely crowded in the way to Cala Pregonda, but firts we took direction to Cala Mica to face the stunning views. Therefore, it’s possible to enjoy wide areas of sand without many people but If you don’t like the beach there is option to start walk through the Camí de Cavalls towards Cala Pregonda. Although there are paths that lead to the beach itself, these are private paths that the owners do not allow to use. So you can only get to the beach on foot from the Binimel-la car park or by boat.
We left the car in the Binimel-la Beach parking lot. After a section of the road we come to a wooden walkway that leads directly to the way. We cross this beach heading west to exit it along the Cami de Cavalls marked path. After a few small ups and downs we arrive at an esplanade of reddish sand, then we arrive at Cala Ferraguts, another small cove on this island. The route does not have any loss and the return we do it by the same way.
