Itinerary description

Hike from Rio Caliente parking lot to Rio Caliente. Follow the river downstream to where the Black River enters it. Follow the Black River upstream to its source. DANGER: Use nonslip water shoes and wear a helmet. Water is scalding hot. Return down Black River, cross Rio Caliente and go directly to parking lot via a dirt road.

    Aside from jumping the river with hot water, it is worth walking along the river. You can find nice places to take pretty cool pictures.
