Itinerary description
A nice easy walk starting and ending with level going through pretty farmland with a stunning backdrop of snow-capped mountains on quiet tarmac roads.
After Ribno things start to get interesting as you follow the river through wooden foothills. The highlight of the walk is a stiff climb up to the pretty 15th century painted church of Bodesce on a rocky outcrop with views back towards Bled castle.
After exploring the villages it's s gentile downhill walk through pastureland back into Bled.
There's isn't much in the way of shops or places to eat along the way but there's a water tap by the church in Ribno. The walk starts and ends next to an excellent bakery in Bled where you can pick up burek and other decent snacks, and there's also a supermarket there.
