Itinerary description
Difficult 19 km point-to-point route beginning at Navacerrada Pass with a continuing ascent through Pastores Pass to the Pico Bola del Mundo (2,258 m). Short ascent through Guarramillas Pass (2,159 m) with an ascent to Pico Valdemartín (2,282 m) and a descent through descent through Valdemartín pass (2,153 m), before ascending to Pico Cabeza de Hierro Menor (2,376 m), Pico Collado de Entrecabezas (2,328 m), and the route’s highest point, Pico Cabeza de Hierro Mayor (2,381 m). Then, a gentle descent continues to Pandasco Hill (2,247 m) then through Zorras Pass (2,177 m) and Peña Vaqueros Pass (2,222 m). There is an ascent to Pico Asomate de Hoyos (2,242 m) and a descent through Pedro de los Lobos Pass (2,051 m) before crossing Bailanderos Pass (2,133 m). The hike continues through Najarra Pass (1,992 m) and ends after Morcuera pass (1,776 m).
