Itinerary description
Remarks regarding the waypoints:
This is an improved version of Wikiloc ID 2659857, which inspired us to do this walk, now in this version with waypoints and pictures. The most important waypoint we added is the very first one, where you turn off the main road to your left, approximately 500 m after leaving Bubión. There you follow a small footpath towards Capileira. Watch out for a yellow-white signpost (lacking the arrow to the left, which would have been useful). By the way: ignore the next yellow-white signpost on your left (because is lacks the "X", saying that this is NOT the way you should take... ;)
PR & GR signs on this track:
After the first waypoint you will see the white & yellow PR signs (PR-A 70) along the track. After Capileira you will also see the white & red GR signs (GR 240). The two run parallel from Fuente del Cubo in Capileira until a bit after Puente de Chiscal.

Water on the trail
As promised, you will see lots of water along the trail -- this time even ON the trail :) But it is very shallow and no problem.

Collecting chestnuts for roasting in the evening
Along the trail (as anywhere in the Apucharras) there are many opportunities to collect chestnuts in the fall.

Better to choose oposite direction, leaving Capiliera for the end of trek.

We also recommend the reverse route, this gives you the opportunity to jump into a brook before the final climb into Capileira. We hiked this in August and found it easy-moderate. Lots of blackberries on the trail!

Beautiful in May with tons of wild roses, mock orange, and flowers in the meadows. Met some cows and some goats. Wishing we could be there when the figs are ripe.
