Itinerary description
Bubion - Pitres
Great sceneries. The trail starts from Bubion with a strong climb. For the first part one can follow both the red-white GR marks or the green-white marks. At the top of the mountain there is a magnificent panoramic view. Going down the track follows a dust road that first goes up and than gradually slopes down. After leaving the dust road the trail steeply descents towards Pitres. In Pitres there are some restaurants and a small supermarket. From Pitres the trail continues without marking upwards again. The south facing mountain side has many magnificent views of the valley bellow. Pay attention for a small stone pile ("cairn") that indicates the point where to leave the dust road and follow a nice goat trail around the mountain towards Bubion. Somewhere along the goat trail, the green-white markers are visible again. It's possible to go down towards the road or follow the green-white track until reaching Bubion.
