Itinerary description

We parked at Es Boldado restaurant, and walked to cala d'Hort beach from there. We're planning to go back for dinner after some sunbathing! The walk starts on an asphalt road for a few meters (which can be accessed from the beach via Carmen restaurant), and then continues on a dirt road towards the edge of the cliff, next to the sea. On the way up to the Es Vedra viewpoint we had to do some scrambling to climb up, and it was very steep, but very quick - and on the way back we took a longer route via the road. Less picturesque but much easier and basically a bit of a shortcut. Once we got to the Es Vedra viewpoint, there was also the option to climb higher to get to a little tower, but we decided to skip that. If you are feeling up for more climbing, it looks good! Going down to 'atlantis' (the old quary) from there is a lot easier than you might think. Just take it slow if needed. There is no set path per se, different people walk different routes up and down. Once you get down there there is a spot where you could do a little dip into the water (a natural pool of sorts). We didn't go there as you had to walk on some rocks in the sea to get to it, and my partner is a bit afraid of heights so we skipped it. But there was a family with two young children (5-6 years I would say) that seemed to have no issue. On the way up from atlantis it's very quick - we only needed two short breaks, and it only took about 20mins overall (whereas we were slower and more cautious on the way down). Lovely walk and not too busy in general! And it's perfect to finish back at cala d'Hort for a cooling swim at the end! (and there's a few restaurants there too) Just make sure to take lots of water if it's a hot day. We needed about 5 litres for two of us (though we do drink a lot of water, and we didn't need to buy any when we arrived at the beach).
