Itinerary description

This easy walk starts from the Cala Barques bus stop in Cala Sant Vicenç and passes the sandy beach Cala Barques, the small sandy beach Cala Clara, the viewpoint/mirador El Maressar, the largest sandy beach in Cala Sant Vicenç: Cala Molins and the pebble beach Cala Carbo. The path then leaves Cala Sant Vicenç along the Cami de Cala Carbo and then the dirt road Cami del Port Pollença / Cami de Siller passing Coll de Siller and continue on a narrower track towards Port de Pollença before becoming a dirt and then paved road again when approaching Port de Pollença where the path ends at the Gotmar-Las Palmeras bus stop.

The panoramic view of the bays of Pollença and Alcudia, and of the Sant Vicenç cove and the Serra del Cavall Bernat, to name a few places, are magnificent.

Public transportation from/to Palma:
Bus 301 Port de Pollenca to El Vilar and bus 321 Pollenca to Cala Barques in Cala de Sant Vicenç.
Bus 301 Palma from Port de Pollença (Gotmar-Las Palmeras bus stop) to Palma.

Cala Sant Vicenc:
—————————-
Known in Castillian Spanish as Cala San Vincente and in Mallorquin as Cala Sant Vicenc, this is one of the smallest resorts on Mallorca.
Nestled on the far north west coast, Cala Sant Vicenc is part of the municipal district of Pollenca and is more or less half way between the town of Pollenca and Puerto Pollenca. Originally a fishing village, the town of Cala Sant Vicenc has several small bays with rugged & dramatic rocks and cliffs. The main attraction here is the tranquility and the collection of small beaches.
The resort is divided in two parts by a rocky outcrop that protrudes between the beaches of Cala Barques and Cala Molins.
The three small beaches in Cala Sant Vicenc with their crystal clear seas are particular favourites for both locals and tourists visiting the area. Cala Molins is the largest of the three and is therefore the hot spot for summer sunbathers. The smallest, Cala Clara is a stoney pebbled beach not ideal for sunbathing but is often a good place to snorkel.
There are life guards on duty at both Cala Molins and Cala Barques. The resort of Cala San Vicente is quite open and can be exposed to winds and high waves during bad weather and storms.
The area between Cala Sant Vicenc and Puerto Pollenca is a native home to black vultures and is a fantastic place to spot migrating birds.

Port de Pollença:
————————-
This population centre was founded as a result of the construction of a fishing pier between 1826 and 1829, which marked the beginning of the export of products from the district. At present, it is an important tourist centre, activity started at the beginning of the 20th century, and in 1930 it already had seven hotels. Between the 19th and 20th centuries, “eu Moll” as the port is known by the inhabitants of Pollença, was the base for many artists who took inspiration from the light and the landscapes of Serra de Tramuntana, especially the painters of the Pollença school. The bay of Pollença offers a long stretch of very beautiful beaches and walks that begin on the beach of Albercutx and extend to the dunes of the S´Albufereta Natural Reserve.
