Itinerary description
Hike up to and around the crater.
Trail starts in lava Fields, then turn left at the stone animal pens to walk up the one side of the crater, circle round to the left and descend on the other side of the crater coming back to the lava field.
Walking around the edge of the crater can be a little hair raising in parts as there are steep drops on either side. But the worst part is actually the descent from the crater back to the lava field which is very slippy underfoot.
