Camino de Santiago. Day 17. Carrión de los Condes - Ledigos

Day 17 of Camino de Santiago. First of all thank you everyone who was worried about me. I’m feeling much better today! Still not 100% percent recovered, but I think that tomorrow will be!
Today I had a constant battle between my body and my mind… My body was telling me: “You need to rest! And the furthest you can go is to Ledigos. Is more than 23 km. That’s enough for you!” But my mind was telling me: “No.. You can do more than that! You should go to Terradillos de Los Templarios. It’s just a little bit more than 3 km.. You can do it!”
On the side of my body was Ying (who I knew didn’t wanted to go further..) And also the albergue in Ledigos, called La Morena - that is incredible!!! Very beautiful, clean. With breakfast, dinner, massage.. everything my body needs!
On the other side of my mind battle was Anastasia. Who wanted to do more! Who even called and booked albergue for 3 of us.. And I was nicely telling.. Oh, I’m not sure if I can make it or not. Also on this side was Malak (girl from USA, who invited us for Thanksgiving dinner in albergue in Terradillos). She was very sweet. We been crossing our passes quite a lot. More of that, Anastasia is agreed to take some apples for the dinner (Malak bought 2 kg of apples!!!) I had good excuse, that I’m sick. I can’t carry more weight..
So it was a big battle!!! Who won? Will not make you wait, but will tell you: my body (I think the main point in all this discussion was FOOD). Plus my 2 best friends were sending me photos of food. Kim’s birthday is today.. So he sent me food from our favorite restaurant. And Kiaya sent me photo of pumpkin pies that she made for Thanksgiving. That was driving me crazy! Because after we left Carrión de Los Condes in 17 km there was no village, no stop (just areas for resting - that were very helpful). So be ready to take some water with you and some food! And on the first village that we seen, Calzadilla de La Cueza we didn’t notice any place opened. Anastasia wanted to ask an olderly lady if there is any cafe opened, but this lady just run away from us (I wish I could run like that!) So as we were approaching Ledigos, we decided to stay here! And we are very happy with our decision! It’s amazing place!
