Day 27 of our Camino de Santiago. Today we were walking from O Cebreiro to Triacastela (21.58 km).
We started quite late, because we were so warm and comfortable in our room.. I honestly didn’t want to go out from my bed! But we still continued our journey after nice breakfast in good company (Ivona from Netherlands and Betsy from USA).
Although it was such a short day (only 21 km to walk).. it was such a difficult day for all of us! It was raining almost entire day! And it was very windy… Some days are so easy, but sometimes you really think: why am I doing it? This was not the best day for us. And talking to other pilgrims, everyone had a tough day today! So I think a lot depends on the weather!
But what was nice, is that we were not walking alone today, but in the company of Lloyd from UK, Julie from France and Maoja from Siria. So although it was very dark and cold day, we were listening to music, singing and trying to cheer up each other!
I think that today I took the least amount of photos, because we few times because of rain I could hardly see the road. And also because some part of the road we were walking in the clouds or in fog..
Tonight guys decided to stay in a albergue municipal, but I booked a really nice albergue yesterday.. So we are staying separately from our today’s company (and I’m happy with our place tonight!) We had a lovely dinner. Met lots of familiar faces here as well. And as well as lots of new people. Tomorrow will tell a bit about it!
