Today is our day 34 of walking Camino de Santiago. And it’s a first day walking from Santiago de Compostela to Negreira (23.21 km). After having 2 days break in Santiago (spent really nice time there..) It was difficult to start walking again. Additionally, it was raining (although I really hoped that it wouldn’t. But we also had quite a lot of sun today as well. So it was raining, sun, rain and again sun.. Didn’t know should I put on my poncho or take it off..
Honestly, it was difficult day. Everything started to pain again (back, shoulders and feet)… I think that I and Nastya are some kind of masochists. My mom tells me, that we should just get a bus to Finisterra and rest there (Nastya likes this idea). But I’m still not sure.. I want to walk, but my body is really tired.
But the road itself was really beautiful! So many eucalyptus! So many flowers and fruit trees full of oranges, kiwis, persimmons, lemons… There were not that many places open on the way. Luckily we found one spot to have a cup of coffee and rest a bit. It was really beautiful to see the steam from the lens after the rain and later a rainbow!
There is one beautiful bridge (Roman time), called ponte Maceira such a beautiful place! River is full of water, that flows through small waterfall so fast! When you pass it, you feel that you are back to medieval times!
Here in Negreira we are staying in a municipal albergue, that I would say is really nice! Finally no bunk beds!! We met Betsy and whole bunch of French people (they came much later than us)..
