Itinerary description

Trail from Albergue de Fisterra to Lires passing through:
- Iglesia de San Martiño de Duio (1.7 km)

Today is our day 37 of walking Camino de Santiago. And it’s a fourth day walking from Santiago de Compostela Camino de Fisterra and Muxia.
We were walking from Finisterra to Lire’s (13.88 km). The route to Muxia is quite long (around 30 km) and as we didn’t want to use bus today (was such a lovely sunny day) we decided to walk almost half way and stop in Lires. Albergues here are all closed. But you can find rural houses or hotel. We are our lunch in As Eiras Hotel and Restaurant. Food was amazing! And I would say that we tried here the best cheese flan that I had ever tried!! And it’s homemade! So delicious! If you are passing through Lires, go to try it! It is heavenly!!! And after lunch we were thinking with Nastya, what to do: should we walk 17 km more to Muxia (don’t think so).. so we decided to rent a room here! And it was a good choice I think! To walk 17 km is too much (for today). But tomorrow we will feel fresh and rested.. P.s. I want another cheese flan in the evening. And another great thing here: it’s so comfortable and with amazing views on the ocean! So I’m so happy that we are staying here tonight!
As our journey is coming to the end (when we will reach Muxia), we also wanted to prolong it! And the route is so beautiful! We found out, that there is route next to the ocean (coast). It is called O Camino dos Faros. It is 200 km from Malpiva to Finisterra.. And there is a coastal route very beautiful between Finisterra and Muxia.. but it is longer. Maybe next time I’ll do Camino de Finisterra and Muxia, I’ll go this way!
