Camping Les Ochay: La Coulée Verte, Mergire and Cugnon

Start your walk at Camping Les Ochay in Mortehan:

At camping Les Ochay turn left to cross the bridge over the Semois. At the first junction turn left and follow the road until you notice a lovely picnicarea called “La Coulee Verte”. Take your time to wander a bit. There are wooden walkways over a small river as well as plenty of picnictables and even a bbq area.

After a nice stroll through the picnicarea you findyourself back at the road. Cross it and follow the most lefthandside path.

Soon the path splits in two, keep following the lefthandside path which will get you at the first viewing point: Le Mergire. On the way you’ll find some handrails to ease your stability.

Continue past the viewing point until you reach the road and the chapel “Notre Dame du Prompt Secours”
To your left you’ll see a small path (next to the orange bin) which you have to follow.
This will bring you to a gravel road which you follow straight ahead. About 100 meters further, there’s a small path straight ahead. Follow this! You are now descending towards La Semois and the bridge in Cugnon. At a junction follow the small path on the left. This will take you to a house which you walk by on the right of it. You are now on tarmac and head for the main road through town. On your left you see the bridge over La Semois. Cross the bridge over the Semois and immediately after take a path on your left, walking next to the Semois until your reach the ancient cemetery and Saint-Hubert church in Mortehan.

Cross the main street and take the first road on your left, Rue de la Cherreau. Follow the road until you reach another junction where, again, you go left. Follow the main road, Rue des Minieres, all the way back towards Camping Les Ochay.
