Itinerary description
This is another route organised by Mijas Tourism and lead by Descubre (Carmen and Antonio) and Rosa from Vive Mijas al Natural. This route is called "The Route of the Coast and Gertrudis´Gully" It is not clear why this gully has been given the name "Gertrudis". It is a nice route, and gets part of its name from the views of the coastline of the Costa del Sol. We decided not to continue above the point "alto" because of the strong and cold wind. We descended to the Hermitage and from there by the path where there are the Stations of the Cross, until finally we arrive where we started at the entrance to the town. The route is short and reasonably easy, but one has to be prepared for a steep ascent and the descent which is difficult because of the loose stony surface.
