Itinerary description

This walk starts from the Venta Los Condes on the A387 between Km6 and Km7.
The road that links Mijas with Alhaurin el Grande.

Underfoot this walk has soil, sand, stones, rocks and boulders, so a good pair of walking boots is recommended. I would also suggest a walking pole.

From Los Condes we pick up part of the orange Route (Pico Mijas) until we meet up with the blue/green route.

The main part of this walk is Ruta Cañada Fuente de la Adelfa. It is one of the seven routes Mijas town hall has signalized in the Sierra de Mijas.

It is well marked and signed. Follow the blue markings.

The return journey picks up part of the green route - Ruta de las Cañadas. (Then follow the green markings)
This is a really lovely walk, in the heart of the mountain with lot's of lovely scenery and views.
