Canal de Arafo ⭐⭐⭐

We trekken deze keer naar Arafo waar net buiten het dorp op een hoogte van 800m onze tocht van start ging. Het ging gestaag omhoog met in totaal 550 hoogtemeters. We kregen een mooie kijk op de Barranco de las Saletas en na een dik uur stonden we boven op de lavavlakte van Arafo. Terug een stuk naar beneden waar we wat verder het kanaal van Arafo bereikten dat niet meer gebruikt wordt en dus ideaal is om te bewandelen. Prachtig zicht over de vallei van Güímar over de hele lijn. Na nog een flinke daling langs een steil pad waren we 3 uur later terug aan onze auto. Heel mooie tocht! Aanrader!

Esta vez nos dirigimos a Arafo, donde nuestro recorrido comenzó a las afueras del pueblo a una altitud de 800 m. Subió de manera constante con un total de 550 metros verticales. Obtuvimos una linda vista del Barranco de las Saletas y después de una hora estábamos en la cima de la llanura de lava de Arafo. Retrocedemos un poco donde llegamos al canal de Arafo un poco más lejos, que ya no se usa y por lo tanto es ideal para caminar. Hermosa vista sobre el valle de Güímar a lo largo de la línea. Después de otro descenso considerable por un sendero empinado, volvimos a nuestro coche 3 horas más tarde. ¡Muy buen viaje! ¡Recomendado!

This time we go to Arafo where our tour started just outside the village at an altitude of 800m. It went up steadily with a total of 550 vertical meters. We got a nice view of the Barranco de las Saletas and after an hour we were on top of the lava plain of Arafo. Back a bit down where we reached the Arafo canal a little further, which is no longer used and is therefore ideal for walking. Beautiful view over the valley of Güímar all along the line.
