Itinerary description
The path from Candelilla to Ventana is a comfortably technical route mostly on stony roads and with stunning views. Really enjoyable.
A short check at Ventana del Nublo, then up to the pass of Risco del Laurel.
The descent towards Ayacata on the north face of the risco is very difficult, exhausting and risky. But very exciting too. Sometimes with nearly vertical walls, sometimes with lush bushes. No paths, no cairns at all.
The end part of the trek is the lovely Ayacata - Nublo path.
For the climbing at risco, great orientations ability, sure foot, good physical conditions and a big bunch of courage are needed.
Recommended only for those who know the mountains of Gran Canaria very well.
It seems crazy to do it, but I loved it wholeheartedly. :)
