Itinerary description
Starting in Canencia Pass, this route has its interest in the trees and woods. Although there are some areas of pine reforestation, woods of oak "melojo" (a high mountain oak variety which is a small version of oak) mixed with ash, birch, fir, larch and holly trees cover most of the areas. Some other areas are covered with native wild pine and fir.
One very old yew called Tejo de la Senda is one of the listed monumental trees we can find with also one Larch an one birch. The Acebo (Holly) del Puerto de Canencia is also on the list.
Wonderful scenario and no people at all, we were just two friends.
