Itinerary description
We started this relatively short walk from a well situated parking place.
The first part of the walk is along this narrow road, withbeautiful views as far as the Mentes de Málaga and, to the right, ijnto the gorge of the river Bermuza 100 metres below you.
In the second bend of the road after the start a track goes east and turns into an old acequia (water track/canal) along olive groves.
There are some delicate passages, not difficult though.
You cross the river on an old bridge and then the track goes around a derelict house, shortly after which you will see a gate that you can open.
The track follows the old acequia until you reach a stony grove whre you will turn sharply left and go up to the cave.
That is the point where ypu will reach the white/red signpost of the GR 249, the Gran Senda de Málaga.
The climb from the cave to the top of the rocks from where the path becomes pleasant again is steep and rocky but not difficult.
The last strech is a bit up and down through beautiful landscape/scenery and you might follow the acequia to the point whre the river comes from the mountain, as we did.
