🇪🇸 Español: Ruta circular de unos 10km por el Cañón rojo de Villaspesa, en la provincia de Teruel.

A menos de 150km de Valencia se encuentran unos paisajes impresionantes conocidos como el Cañón Rojo de Teruel. Este track es una ruta circular que realizamos a través este cañón.

Aparcamos por una masía, encontramos un lugar a la sombra para proteger el coche. Sin embargo, se puede aparcar unos metros más adelante, pasando el puente. También, aunque esta ruta es una ruta de senderismo, la primera parte es por pista y pueden acercar el coche hasta un aparcamiento que está señalizado.

Tramo 1: Ruta por pista
La primera parte de la ruta es por pista, es muy fácil seguir y es apta para todos. Las vistas son impresionantes y se disfruta cada paso.

Tramo 2: Los acantilados
Cuando vemos el cartel del aparcamiento, salimos de la pista y empezamos a subir por una senda hasta llegar a los vestigios de la batalla de Teruel. Desde allí, seguiremos un camino expuesto, al borde del acantilado, disfrutando de unas vistas desde lo alto del Cañón. Este tramo es largo y puede dar vértigo.

Tramo 3: La bajada
Al haber subido, ahora toca bajar. Sin embargo y por desgracia, no hay un camino de descenso bien trazado y tendremos que buscar la mejor forma de bajar. Aconsejamos bien seguir nuestro track. La bajada es corta pero empinada. Puede resultar difícil para algunos. Tener mucho cuidado e ir despacio para evitar caídas.

Esta ruta es simplemente increíble. Las fotos no describen lo precioso que es este lugar. Te traslada a otro país y durante estos 10km de caminata olvidas que estás en España. Es una ruta fácil y apta para todos en general, excepto la parte expuesta y el tramo de bajada que puede resultar difícil para algunos.

🇺🇸 English: 10km loop trail through the Red Canyon of Villaspesa, in the province of Teruel.

Less than 150km from Valencia are some impressive landscapes known as the Red Canyon of Teruel. This track features a circular route through this canyon.

We parked next to a farmhouse since we had found a place in the shade to protect the car. However, you can also park a few meters ahead past the bridge. Although this route is part of a hiking route, the first part is on a dirt road and you can take the car to about the halfway point of this route to a parking lot that is signposted.

Section 1: Route by path.
The first part of the route is by dirt road, it is very easy to follow and is suitable for everyone. The views are impressive and you enjoy every step.

Section 2: The cliffs.
Once we see the parking sign, we leave this track and begin to climb along a path until we reach the remains of the Battle of Teruel. From there, we will follow another exposed path along the edge of the cliffs, enjoying views from the top of the canyon. This section is long and can be vertigo-inducing.

Section 3: The Descent.
Now that we have climbed up, it is time to descend. Unfortunately, there is no well-marked descent path and we will have to find the best way down. We advise you to follow our track. The descent is short but steep. It can be difficult for some. Be very careful and walk slowly to avoid falling.

This route is simply amazing. Pictures cannot describe how beautiful this place is. It transports you to another place and during this 10 km walk you forget that you are in Spain. It is an easy walk and generally suitable for everyone, except for the exposed part and the descent, which can be difficult for some.
