Cantera de los Arenales – Puerto Málaga
This walk starts from the parking area up by the Arenales quarry.
Keep heading inland and just before you get to the Graja, pass take a small shortcut on your left, and at the top, left again.
At the bend go straight ahead. It’s a nice challenging section until you get to the Mirador of the quarry. Carry on this path through the woods, then turn left onto a sandy gravel path. Eventually you will come to a signpost and a small plaque on the ground with a trail to your left.
This is a lovely uphill path and nearer the top has lots of stone steps.
Keep going and eventually veering to the left you will arrive at Puerto Malaga. (There is a signboard but it has weathered away).
From here carry on until you get to the carril forestal, which will bring you back to the original path you came along, and back to the Mirador.
It’s a peaceful hike with some really nice panoramic views in places
