Itinerary description
This walk started from the top end of the Palmeras urbanización in Canyelles. If you do it in summer, make sure you go early as although quite a bit of it is in the shade, the final climb at the end is not and it’s very sunny.
Start by turning off the road and up the dirt track to the right.
The path is mainly clear and easy to follow, mainly yellow and white PR signs.
Watch out for cyclists, particularly around Puig de l’Aliga. Enjoy the views over to the sea.
The only bit that is not very obvious is coming down from Puig de l’Aliga, you get to a sharp bend and instead of following the main path, you turn off to the left on a much smaller path among the greenery. This is also the most beautiful part of the walk and it feels like you’re walking through jungle but you need to pay attention not to miss the turning.
Similarly, when you turn left to climb back up near the end, keep an eye on the tracker to make sure you don’t miss the turning.
