Itinerary description
This walk is for the hardened backpacker who begrudges EUR 5 for the bus or EUR 12 for the taxi or parhaps you have time to kill. In fact the walk is pleasant apart from the 1.2 km nearest the airport. Most of the walk is along the Canal du Midi tow path or on quiet roads parallel when the canal path is muddy or broken. The route shown goes via a bread/patisserie/pizza shop. You can omit these 600 metres if you have supplies. The route is not suitable for cases on wheels. To cross the canal, you need to scramble up and later down a road embankment.
