Itinerary description

English will follow.

Trek from Cartagena downtown to this military post named 'Casa del Comandante' (Major's House), using as a base-line route the well-known GR-92. After reaching 'Puntal del Moco' (peak) we hike down through the marked trail (that runs parallel to the ridge of the mountain) up to the beach of the camping. There is also an alternative trail to GR-92 from el Portús to the House, as well with signs. After sleeping in the refuge (shelter) we walk back to civilization through La Muela.

Duration: up to la casa del comandante 6-7 hours
Material: trekking boots and poles
Technical difficult: harsh, several steep slopes

Very nice! Thank you. The rifugio is always open?

Yes, I've always seen it open for the last 20 years. The difficult aspect here is the lack of water. Even during winter, the physical effort demands a good amount of water (I'd say almost 3 liters).
