Casa de las Flores – Entrerrios, Mijas
This circular walk starts from Casa de las Flores garden centre. It’s a good place to start from because it has plenty of parking and a good bar, and also it’s worth having a look inside.
This route uses rural dirt tracks / roads which are in good condition. The route goes into and around Entrerrios.
I would also say it would be a good challenging cycling route.
There are quite a few stream crossings (dry), but some have flood warnings.
I came across two natural spring fountains, and both were being used by locals to fill up water containers.
There are great views of the Sierra Alpujata and El Camorro, also the Sierra de Mijas and the Coin Fire Lookout.
Two thirds of the way round there is a restaurant Vecinos de Atalaya (definitely an experience!), which is a good spot to recharge your batteries.
It’s not an overly hard walk but at 17.67km and over 400m of climb, it can be a bit of a slog as the last 5km is all uphill (gentle gradient).

Hice la caminata de hoy 5 de febrero de 2023. Muy pintoresco y con todos los naranjos y vegetación bálsamo para el alma.
