Castillo Sohail – Lomas del Majano
This short walk starts from the Sohail castle in Fuengirola, which is well worth a visit.
Start by going over the castle mound and then crossover the flyover.
At the BP petrol station turn right.
Cafeteria Estrella del Mar is a good spot for a drink or bite to eat before or after the walk.
At the next turning you go into Las Lomas del Majano. Make your way to the summit where you will have amazing views.
This is a shortened version of last week’s walk.
There is one path where there are beehives on your left, but should be far away enough not to cause concern.
Carry on where you eventually pick up the initial path to take you back to the castle.
I was lucky enough to see for the first time on any walk a family of wild boar, 2 babies and possibly 6 or more adults. They were walking in a small arroyo by the side of the road. They were on the move, but I was lucky to get some photos.
