Itinerary description
Commence route from parking area but ended it in our Camp site (san iscidio)
A spectacular river route, slippery in places and benefitting from river shoes with traction. This scenic route is a feast for the senses, lush vegetation, birds and insects abound especially in springtime when we did this walk. Just before we reach the highest point snd take a right turn away from the river the route takes you past a casa rural, a welcomed retreat to grab a refreshment or beer before continuing up the marked trail towards a high waterfall / spout. After this the walk levels then starts to defend slowly before taking a steep incline just before you reach the castle - a nice bunks if you can catch it open (clises between 2-4pm- see my photo showing their opening hours ) the hives’s of Cazorla on this return stretch are quite pretty and the trail is very easy to follow. Mind your step as it is steep and slippery in places but otherwise, highly recommended walk when in Cazorla. Top marks !
