Cerro de los Cardos Figure of Eight
This is a nice walk on the outskirts of La Cala.
From the main roundabout opposite the Town Hall, turn left to the next roundabout, then turn left again going under the motorway, then turn left passing Mercadona on your right. About 200m on your right there is a large off road parking area opposite the El Chaparral School.
From here take the path to the right of the car park and follow this as it meanders and goes slowly uphill, passing El Chaparral golf course on your right.
Eventually you start your return at a junction, passing an Abrevadero (animal drinking trough).
There is one small steep descent and one small climb near an electricity pylon where you get good panoramic views.
There were a lot of birds around and this route is also suitable for dogs.
There is no shade on this walk.
