Itinerary description
Area northwest of Los Barrios off A381. Started at the Cerro del Laurel rock formation going up to see the cave and the top. The whole route has reasonable paths - relatively clear with some overgrowth UNTIL the second part of the river. Our route shows where we tried to get through however we had to turn back as this was very overgrown with prickly bushes. We then went up a path (possibly a dry water course) towards the road with the cycle path - stopping in a lovely meadow area for lunch. We then went on over a gate and walked the route to the further part of the river walk, which is a good path and well-know/signed walkway for most of its length. We then turned back to the recreation area car park using the pathway on the other side.
It was a sunny, dry day - very warm for March - flowers and insects/butterflies along the route.

Tried to follow route along river in middle section, but found it too overgrown, had to turn around and go up hill to open green space and then down to road over a gate to continue.
