Itinerary description

This walk starts from the Monda car park and picks up Camino Alpujata.
I took a shortcut on the left crossing the Arroyo Alpujarra which joins the Cerro Gordo route.
Follow the Cerro Gordo track until you come across the Camino Particular on your right. It is an uphill climb. Very scenic and peaceful. Plenty of Aleppo pine trees and I didn't see a single processionary caterpillar nest anywhere. It is 4.5km to the goat farm.
The climb is around 350m. Just before you reach the farm there is a lovely view of the summit of Cerro Gordo.
This used to be a circular route but it has been fenced off by a goat farm and a bull farm. So unfortunately it is an out and back walk.
The walk ends at the bar Carboneros.
The tapas are very good here.
