Cerro Horza & Cerro de los Cardos, La Cala de Mijas
This walk starts on the outskirts of La Cala, nestled between two golf courses – Chaparral Golf and Cerrado del Aguila Golf.
The area is a bit barren at times, but there are trees every now and then.
The walk meanders between several hills, so there are a few ups and downs but nothing major. There is very little shade on this walk, and there are lots of other tracks to explore if you so wish.
This area is used by walkers, runners, cyclists and horse riders, and possibly the odd motorbike. In the cooler months this walk is suitable for dogs.
There is plenty of parking at the start. The best part of the walk is going through the eucalyptus woods next to the Realenga stream. (Unfortunately dry at the moment).
