Itinerary description
DESDE LA FUENTE(PULPI)NOS DIRIGIMOS AL CERRO LOS PINOS DONDE ESTA EL MIRADOR QUE NOS DA VISTA A LA COSTA (SAN JUAN DE LOS TERREROS ) DESDE HAY DESCENDEMOS POR UNA PISTA AL CAMPO DE GOLF "EL AGUILON" UNA VEZ POR LA CARRETERA DE LA URBANIZACIÓN Y VIENDO COMO JUEGAN AL GOLF FUIMOS A LAS MINAS DONDE SE ENCONTRO LA FAMOSA "GEODA"En torno a las concesiones mineras “Quien tal pensara” y “Por si acaso” se desarrollaron sucesivas actividades de extracción y transformación de mineral de hierro, probablemente a partir de explotaciones de plomo preexistentes. La cercanía de la vía férrea Almendricos-Águilas (un ramal de la línea de Lorca a Baza) resultaba determinante de cara al imprescindible ahorro de costes de transporte que exige el mineral de hierro, de menor valor unitario.
Inicialmente se obtuvieron hematites mediante excavaciones a cielo abierto, pero después también se explotó la siderita mediante labores de interior. En la segunda mitad del siglo XX siglo se revitalizaron las minas, extrayendo sobre todo siderita. Aunque está acompañada de sulfuros (esfalerita, galena y bournonita).
UNA VEZ TOMADAS FUERZAS Y VISTO ALGUNOS RESTOS MINEROS EMPEZAMOS LA ASCENSION POR UN SENDERO PERDIDO POR EL TIEMPO QUE NOS DARA PASO DE UNA CARA DEL AGUILON A LA OTRA PARA REGRESAR AL PUNTO DE PARTIDA
