Itinerary description
The trail starts with an error, it is evident in the map. This error cost me 45min and added almost one km. So the actual ascent was not more than 3-3.5h and c6km (3+3) from the trailhead. For this reason, the relatively short distance as well as the moderate altitude gain, I decided to rate the trail as moderate. The trail, however is in pretty bad shape (a muddy mess) and quite steep towards the end, but is easy to follow. It always stays on top of the ridge. I was moving very fast, intentionally, so to add 2h more would be easy. There are no other trails going down from the summit, in case you wondered.
People have reported seeing snakes and sloths on this trail but i saw neither.
Down below there is a small house (it reads restsurant) where you can get a ride back to Santa Fe for 5 dollars.

El camino es una jungla o bosque tropical muy tupido. La naturaleza muy bella pero las plantas cubren gran parte del camino así que es necesario subir con botas, pantalones y camisa de manga larga para protegerse de las serpientes. No está muy bien señalada la primera bifurcación a la izquierda.
Si el sendero estuviera más limpio y con más señalizacion sería un 5 estrellas.
Se recomienda también llevar dos palos o bastones pues el camino tiene mucho lodo y es fácil resbalar.
