Itinerary description
Starting at the Ventas, continue to Puerto Blanquillo. Take a sharp left (180 degrees opposite the path up to Cerro Lucero).
It's a little confusing to start with but, keep rising and some kerns guide your way.
The path in places is a little challenging & not always defined.
It's a 400 m steady climb to Cerro Verde.
And a steady drop down towards Cerro Atalaya veering off to the left of the peak. The last part of the path was very overgrown but an enjoyable descent back to the starting point.
This walk was done early July so, bring at least 2L of water (temperature was 35 mas o menos) and we started out at 0900.
