Itinerary description

I wanted to see these ruins but the infrequent bus schedule did not fit my schedule. Jose at the Chachapoyas Backpackers Hostel suggested that one can walk there but the trail is unmarked and crosses other paths that you need to know the way or you will eventually pick the wrong path. I ended up taking a guide with a car to the trail head of the Yalape Ruins and walking up about twenty minutes over no real trail to the ruins. Once at the ruins I could wonder around reasonably well. You can see several of the pictures I took. Then we continued in the car to the Collacruz Ruins which are at the small village of Levanto with the restored structure pictured.
