Itinerary description
Champagny - direct route up to top gondola station and La Rossa - Pointe de la Veliere - Col de la Bauche de Mio - return to champagny. Surprised me with how beautiful the views and varied landscapes. Rated this hike as moderate as trail is clear and well marked with no technically difficult sections. However good physical fitness is required as there is significant elevation gain over a relatively short period. It is possible to take the gondola up/and or down to shorten hike but check opening hours first as it was closed on the weekends the summer we were here.
