Itinerary description
Beatiful hike around the Chinyero volcano. It's an easy hike without any technical difficulties and it can be done both clockwise and anticlockwise. Given the position of the sun when we did it, I'd recommend going anticlockwise in the morning and clockwise in the afternoon. We did the opposite and were blinded by the sun setting over the horizon while we were crossing the big volcanic rock area, which took away some of its beauty.
Also, there are signs that prohibit wandering off the trail. To be fair, there aren't many and they are quite far into the hike. Just be aware you can't leave the trail as I inadvertently did.
