Itinerary description
A beautiful walk starting from the village of Chio and climbing steeply through the Malpais to the village of Arguayo. From here, a steep track is followed to the summit giving extensive views to Teide, the Santiago Valley and the south west coast. There are bars where refreshments can be obtained in Arguayo, as well as a pottery museum. From Arguayo, an easy track is followed back to Chio.
