Itinerary description
Beating summer heat with a refreshing Aquahike in Adonis river (Nahr Ibrahim). We parked our car next to the church before starting from Chouane Jabal moussa entrance (100000 LL entrance fees at the time of this aquahike). Around 45 min from the entrance to Chouane lake. The trail is easy and clear. Dont forget to jump on the "Viewpoint" platform where you can have an amazing view of the lake. From the lake, you can continue on a trail to the right. At some point, you have to start walking into the river. Walking, jumping, climbing, swimming... you have to expect everything in this aquahike! You will reach a small area "ghabbit" where you can rest, eat and leave the stuff you don't want to get wet. From this point, everything you have will get submerged and wet. If you want to keep your phone and wallet and valuable things with you, you should have many dry bags or waterproof (and not only water-resistant) backpacks. After the "ghabbit" go to the left and you will swim through a magnificient narrow canal. You can go as far as you want in the river but this time we didn't go far. Please be careful, crossing the river is not easy, you have some risky climbs and the rocks are very slippery! You can get tired quickly and lose your balance! Don't do it alone and go slowly. At some parts, you can get out of the stream and walk next to the river. There is no trails here, find your way! Enjoy and stay safe. Kindly add a short review when you follow any of my trails.
