Itinerary description
An impressive, challenging impeccable straight line trail. Trekking between lovely villages and absolute stunning panoramas. It was a difficult journey that took us all day but enjoyed it to the max and had plenty of breaks.
The main spots were:
From Chouane village and down to Chouane river via a shortcut path instead of following the cultural trail organized and maintained by Jabal Moussa association.
Reaching the river, we enjoyed the beautiful ruins, watermill and the cute arched wood bridges. Then started mounting up to Ain Jrayn passing by an ancient pine forest.
Later, we were admiring Namroud peak ahead of us, and started mounting up next to it to reach Bolhos in Qartaba.
Crossed the pave road and started another up to reach a great spot for our main break. After another climbing on rocks towards Tellaje Ehmej, an impressive, stunning rock formation and a must see. From there a smooth easy path passing by Mat2oubeh grotte, Charbineh village to finally reach Saydet L Qarn.
