Itinerary description
Another journey to track predators in their natural habitat.
The starting point is village Smižany. It is situated on the border of national park Slovak paradise.
How to get there:
1. By car: If you´re travelling from the west of Slovakia, the best option is to use D1 motorway in direction Košice. The motorway finishes near the village called Spissky Stvrtok. Then follow the roadsign Spisska Nova Ves. Smizany is only 7km away of Spiska Nova Ves
2. By bus: The bus from Spisska Nova Ves commutes to Smizany two or three times each hour, average price of single ticket is 0,50 €, it is a bus stop number 4 at the bus station.
3. By train: Train departs every hour three times from the train station in Spisska Nova Ves, single ticket costs 0,44 €, it takes about 5 minutes to get to Smizany.
There is also another option- you can take direct train from Poprad train station( more convenient station for Tatras area). There are also several trains running in this direction. The journey lasts about 25 minutes, it costs about 1,20 €.
