Itinerary description
We found the idea for this walk on the following website:
http://senderos.turismodearagon.com/
We made a combination of two Pr-Hu walks and together they made a wonderful walk.
The first waypoint shows where you can park your car on a huge parking place, near the centre of Benasque and also very near the beginning of the walk, the PR-HU 27 which leads you straightway into the coolness of the trees,a coolness which will remain with you for the first 200 altitude metres of the climb along a beautiful path which is well signpostedall the way up and down.
After these first 200 altitude metres you will walk in a more open part of the mountain so that you will be able to enjoy the lovely views of the valley.
After a while you will get into the cool shade of the trees again until you arrive al Cerler and we really enjoyed walking through the old part of this village.
The new part of the village has a wonderful green with a fountain, waypoint number 2, and gives you nice views of the surrounding mountain peaks.
The descent to Anciles leads you along the river the Rémascaro at first and later when you get into the woods again you will have to cross various little streams.
This descent to Anciles is less steep than the climb to Cerler and therefore will take up at least the same time that you needed for the way up but it is an easy walk down with some very nice views down into the valley.
From Anciles the road will take you back to the starting point.
