Itinerary description
This is a very lovely walk indeed.
We found the idea for this walk on Wikiloc, put there by Turisme Alta Ribacorça but as his/ their description is in Spanish only we wanted to share this one with those walkers who don't easily read Spanish.
The start of this walk is a very good parking place with a working fountain very close to El Pont de Suert on the N260.
The track to Montiberri is beautiful in all its variations; soft undersoil, rocky, a combination of boyh, shady and in the full sun, gentle and steep and very beautiful views, especially during the second part of the walk after having reached the highest point, which is shortly after reaching the ruined village of Montiberri itself.
It is really worthwhile to go a little bit further when the descend turns sharply to the right and enjoy the amazing view from Mirador Casos. The view to the west/ northwest is extensive and also includes the Panta D'Escales right beneath you.
What follows after that is a wonderrful descent that shows you all the beautiful views that you missed going up.
