Itinerary description
We started this walk on the Col de Prunet de Baix. From there a gravel road takes you to the rocky part of Le Mont St.Helena.
From here on it is a bit of a scramble up, you could also follw the gravel road, until you reach the watchtower on top of the Mont St.Helena.
Then a narrow but distinct path takes you to the edge and from here on it is a bit of a scramble down, most of the indistinct path is indicated by small stone piles. When you reach the trees again it is only a smaal distance to another gravel road.
This walk will give you extended views all around you. The coast region, Sant Marti de La Roca and the Causse above Castelnou, the Pyrenees Orientales, and the Canigou range as well as the mountains that extend to the sea on the French/Spanish coast.
It is not a very long walk but you will enjoy the views.

Effectivement les vues sont magnifiques!
Il faut faire un peu attention pour bien trouver le chemin pour la descente sinon on se retrouve sur un terrain très escarpé.
