Circuit Ifonche - Fuente de El Chorrillo

EN: Start: At the end of the TF-567 (El Dornajo bar-restaurant) in Ifonche

This loop is a popular short hike between the mountain village of Ifonche and the Fuente de El Chorrillo that not only offers awe-inspiring southern coast views, but optional exciting peaks as well.

At the start of the route, follow the PR TF 71.2 (white-yellow), a nice path above the canal on the left. The camino, wide and well marked, enters a sparse pine forest and after 5 minutes you see a solitary farm in front of you, to which the path leads, which stretches to the right of terraced meadows. The path continues up to a dome at the end of the mountain ridge from where we have a beautiful view of the wild Barranco del Infierno and the coast.

We then return to an old threshing floor and turn left halfway into the Camino Carrasco (white arrows) which descends diagonally on the slope to start and then continues at the foot of imposing rock walls until you reach an eroded saddle of beige color.

We continue our way on the left then walk across the slope, at the foot of the rock walls. We walk past some caves and cave dwellings and after a quarter of an hour we reach the Fuente de El Chorrillo.

After a few bends, the path climbs steeply to a plateau, from where a road brings us back to the left in a quarter of an hour to Ifonche.

Cette boucle est une randonnée populaire courte entre le village de montagne d'Ifonche et la Fuente de El Chorrillo qui offre non seulement des vues grandioses sur la côte sud, mais aussi des passionnants sommets en option.

Au début du parcours on suit le PR TF 71.2 (blanc-jaune), un joli chemin au-dessus du canal sur la gauche. Le camino, large et bien tracé, entre dans une pinède clairsemée et au bout de 5 minutes nous voyons devant nous une ferme solitaire à laquelle mène le chemin qui s'étire à droite de prés en terrasses. Le chemin continue jusqu'à une coupole au bout de la crête montagneuse d'où nous avons une belle vue dans le sauvage Barranco del Infierno et sur le littoral.

Nous retournons ensuite vers une ancienne aire de battage et tournons à gauche à mi-parcours dans le Camino Carrasco (fléches blanches) qui descend en diagonale sur le versant pour commencer puis continue au pied d'imposantes parois rocheuses jusqu'à une selle érodée de couleur beige.

Nous poursuivons notre chemin sur la gauche puis cheminons à travers le versant, au pied des parois rocheuses. Nous longeons en chemins quelques grottes et habitats troglodytiques et au bout d'un quart d'heure nous arrivons à la Fuente de El Chorrillo.

Après quelques tournants, le chemin monte en pente raide jusqu'à un plateau, d'où une route nous ramène sur la gauche en un quart d'heure à Ifonche. (circuit et description inspirés de l'itinéraire numéro 38 - Ténérife - Rother - Guide de randonnées)
